It's been 50 years since this was said to me, and
such a lot has happened in between.
We traveled back and forth across this country (USA)
and while stationed in California,
we saw the giant redwood trees and also I saw
snow for the first time in my life...
    We've seen so many changes from
outhouses to toilets that will flush when
you just move over the seat...
Taking a bath in a #3 washtub....
to men on the moon, computers, and TVs.
We (Joe and I) have lived in 8 decades now,
and when I hear folks talk about
living in the good ole days,
they just don't know that they are living
in the really good ole days now.....
