Now what does a sponge boat
have to do with languages you might ask???
Well, I grew up in a little town on the west coast
of Florida and at that
time about half of the people were of Greek
descent. A lot of the men made their living diving for sponges. My daddy even tried it for a short time.
I never learned a second language, but
always wanted to....
Just never took the time
to learn....
Looking back, I sure wish I had....
Now, I have a daughter-in-law, a granddaughter,
a great granddaughter and two grandsons of
Greek descent.
Funny how things happen, huh??
